(Saprolegnia) Symptoms : Gray or whitish growth in and on the skin and/or fins of the fish. Eventually, if left untreated, these growths will become cottony looking Info : Fungal infections will nearly always follow another illness. If left untreated, will eventually eat away on the fish until it finally dies. It is also common for eggs to get this fungus, you can prevent egg fungus by adding a couple drops of Maroxy to your breeding tank.Treatments : Fungus Eliminator, Maroxy, Methalene Blue Prevention : Keep your fish in very clean conditions during and after an illness. Actually, keep them clean at all times. |
